Summary: Overall this is a beautiful property with the potential to be a wonderful resort, but they just aren’t sure yet what they want to be. They advertise as a tranquil, quiet escape, but they also cater to families. While we were there the place was completely overrun with screaming children. And inattentive parents. There was no where to go on property that was peaceful or quiet, including the spa, They have rules for kids (limited hours in the pool) but they are not enforced so it was difficult, (impossible) for adults to use the pool. The lobby bar area was overrun with families on Saturday night so there was no where to go to have an adult dinner (the dining room was full with families and kids running around). I love kids, but was looking for a peaceful two day getaway. I hope they can figure out a way to accommodate everyone on this lovely property.
